An M.O.T for your
detector? You have to get one
by LAW for your car, and your life depends on the mechanical
integrity of that, so why not treat your detector with the
same care and have it given a "once over" each year?
I invented this service, then all the "others" copied me. Still, you'll get the best service here though! So, what does it involve? I strip your machine down to it's electronics "underwear" and check ALL of the following.
(You are under no obligation to have the work carried out) I use an MK test systems AutoMeg 4-1500 to perform some of the tests. This is a £2500 cable harness test set as used by William F1, McLaren F1, Airbus Industries and many other blue chip companies. My test equipment inventory now stands at over £35,000, this has already been paid for in full, so I don't have to recover the cost from you, the customer. I have computer fault logging and automated test equipment which can provide a full diagnostic print out of your detectors performance should you require it. It can also provide your detector with a "Service History" thus enhancing it's re-sale value. Another reason you can be SURE I do the job properly. I can provide printouts UNTOUCHED by human hands, directly from the test equipment to prove that all is well with your machine. Something even a few of the major manufacturers can't do!! Finally, you won't find me running around or doing drop in days. Getting there would cost me extra money in fuel, time, wear and tear on the car. All these are costs which have to be passed on to you the customer. Costs which make your repairs more expensive. I keep it simple so you keep it cheap. With all the extra work I'd have to take on, I'd be running just to stand still, with no time to concentrate on each repair and do the job properly, quality of my work would fall and you ,the customer, would end up with a second class service. You WILL find me at rallies (usually in the beer tent) where I'm happy to talk about any questions you may have. I usually carry a basic "get you going" tool kit, but PLEASE bear in mind, I'm probably there for the same reason you are. To detect. |
